Our two partners have 54 years of combined experience in the practice of law, much of it in the areas of probate, estate planning, trusts, wills, business law and real estate transfers. William F. Bratt, our primary probate attorney, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Adminstration with a concentration in Finance, summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University. In law school, he was awarded the American Jurisprudence
awards (given to that year's top student) in Evidence, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Commercial Law and Corporate Taxation. A third generation attorney,
Bill began practicing in the areas of estate planning and probate in 1983 in Bergen County, New Jersey in a firm founded by his grandfather. He is licensed in both New Jersey and South Carolina, but currently restricts his practice to South Carolina.
Wilson & Bratt, P.A. was formed in 1994 from a predecessor firm on Hilton Head Island begun in 1985, and Bill has continued to practice primarily in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, estate administration and business law. His practice is comprised primarily of referrals from accountants, financial planners and other attorneys, as well as referrals from prior clients. A past president of the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club, Bill is married to Kim, principal of the Hilton Head Island Early Childhood Center, and has two daughters, Stephanie and Laurel. He and Kim enjoy boating, and their three dogs, Cody, Bailey and Laci.
Kathleen Moore is our probate paralegal and has been with the firm for 7 years, although her experience in South Carolina probate law firms spans 12 years. Kathy can generally assist our clients with questions on the progress of their files.
We strive at all times to provide professional, cost-effective and courteous service to all of our clients. We were honored to be selected as the 2003-2004 Four-Way Test Business of the Year by the Hilton Head Island area Rotary Clubs. This award recognizes businesses which exhibit strong ethical standards and exemplary service.
We would be happy to discuss your South Carolina estate administration needs with you.
